In 2012, Greencore Geothermal Powerplant, a former National Power Corporation (NPC) plant, was undergoing extensive rehabilitation and upgrading of its facilities.

As part of the upgrading, GGPI tapped the services of Leah Construction & Development Corporation in delivering the design, supply, and installation of its new lightning protection system. GGPI chose the E.F. Lightning Protection System, which is exclusively distributed by LCDC, in order to protect its new facilities against the effects of lightning.

A total of 20 E.F. Lightning Terminals were installed to protect various structures such as administration offices, cooling towers, turbine buildings, and warehouses. The project had a total budget of 4 million Php and was completed within 60 days.
